HEROES PROGRAM – Help Change My City

Our Life Heroes program brings community leaders and individuals with stories to inspire the youth. We call these individuals and leaders—Heroes—. We bring them into schools and communities to share their life stories and motivate young people during this pivotal stage of their lives.

These Heroes have walked the same paths as some of the youth have potential to walk. The heroes’ stories and struggles offer relatable experiences and perspectives that encourage students to seize the moment, gain discipline, make good life choices, avoid pitfalls, understand their potential, that they can overcome, and envision a brighter future.

By hearing these powerful stories, young people are inspired to dream big, set meaningful goals, and take steps toward achieving their career aspirations.

The mission of Life Heroes is to provide opportunities for youth to connect with role models who demonstrate that greatness is possible regardless of one’s starting point in life. The talks aim to ignite a spark of hope and determination in young people, empowering them to face challenges with resilience and believe in their ability to succeed.

Life Heroes share their journeys of overcoming obstacles, pursuing their dreams, and achieving success, leaving students empowered with a sense of purpose and possibility.

Through their stories, young people are reminded of the greatness they (young people) already possess within themselves and are equipped with the motivation to pursue their full potential. The Life Heroes program is more than storytelling—it’s about building a foundation of hope, empowerment, self-belief, and ambition in the next generation.
